Spring Tour
January 11, 2012

Well the booking is almost done and the search for press and radio spots has begun. It’s so exciting to know that a month from now Duey, I and our tour manager Ryan will be on the road on our first cross-country tour. While we won’t fully cross the continent this time, we’ll see a fair piece – traveling from Boston to Memphis for our showcase of Folk Alliance. We look forward to making new friends, reaching more fans and hearing what new witty remarks Duey will come up with. Stay tuned on Youtube for more Roadside Sessions and Twitter for whatever #dueysays next. Oh it’s on America!

Happy Tidings for a Cozy Winter and a Carol for You All!
December 20, 2011

As a teenager I was a strange kid who preferred musicals from the ’30s and jazz music over Green Day and parties like my fellow students. A pinacle moment of the year was when I hosted a caroling party for friends and family every winter. Imagine my neighbor’s surprise to find a group of strangers on their doorstep not to collect money but to spread happy cheer! In honor of those days and my adorably nerdy teenage self I’ve made a rough recording of perhaps my favorite carol. Have a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Solstice or whatever you celebrate – may it be filled with love, light and lots of singing!

Patsy Cline Cover – Walking After Midnight
December 7, 2011

I can remember singing along to an old recording of Patsy Cline when I was a child. The emotion behind this song, the longing and strength, always moved me. Please enjoy another rough recorded cover of a classic old favorite!

Somewhere over Somerville
December 4, 2011

I’ve been avoiding this song for some time as it’s probably the #1 ukulele cover of all time. However today, after a few hard days of feeling low and sad, I brought it out to cheer my aching heart and felt compelled to make a little rough recording and share it with you. Please enjoy and have a beautiful Sunday.

This also shows off my newest ukulele – the beautiful tenor uke built for me by Robert Anderson.

Roadside Session #3 – A little Johnny Cash in Central Park
November 23, 2011

A second video from our recent trip to NYC. An original track that is also a sort of cover – I wrote this back in my days cowgirl-ing in the BC mountains and it’s a bit of a tribute to one of my favorites – Mr. Johnny Cash. Enjoy!

Roadside Session #2 – Central Park in fall!
November 15, 2011

While in Central Park last week we stopped to enjoy the fall colors and play a little tune by one of our favorite artists.

Endorsement from Robert Anderson Guitars
November 4, 2011

I am very excited to announce that I have received an endorsement from a Canadian boutique guitar maker named Robert Anderson, with the gift of a lovely one-of-a-kind tenor ukulele! Robert builds lightweight, small-bodied finger style instruments that are known for their responsiveness and full tonal range. He has an eye for detail and sense of perfection that are both rare and beautiful to witness. Each instrument he makes is unique and created with great love. I am proud and excited to be endorsed with the use of his fine ukulele, which sings with a lovely clear tone that combines beautifully with my voice.

Here are some images I shot of my lovely new instrument. To order your own Robert Anderson guitar or ukulele please go to: www.robertandersonguitars.com
